Ringing in 2012

We woke up on New Year's Eve and headed straight to The Dump. The Dump is a high-end discounted furniture store in Atlanta and is in a few other large cities. Ben and I actually bought our mattress there a few weeks ago because they were having a big sale. We had to pick up the mattress on NYE and also discovered they were having a Clearance Sale. When we arrived, we determined the Clearance Sale was a Tent sale and people were standing at the tent waiting for them to load things in. These people were like furniture leaches! Needless to say, we decided not to stay in the tent and headed inside. Our experience at The Dump was terrible! To sum it up, we had a creepy sales lady following us around, poor customer service, and then waited 30 minutes to pick-up our mattress. Ben lost his patience (which seldom happens) and refuses to ever go back.

In the afternoon, we headed to a 50th wedding anniversary celebration for Mr. and Mrs. Stanhope. Ben worked for Mr. Stanhope for several years in Ellijay and I was excited to meet him since I had heard many wonderful things. The Stanhope's are planning on making it down to Atlanta for our big day!

Now it was time to ring in the New Year. Our friend Sarah had a GREAT idea to throw a murder mystery party. Everyone received their character assignments earlier in the week and went all out with outfits!!
Meet Lola and Mario Talent... Lola is a Latin Pop Diva and Mario is an aspiring actor. Basically we were J-Lo and Marc Anthony. I think we played the part pretty well!

We rang in the new year with some wonderful friends. Ben said "Courtney, I can't wait to marry you next month!". NEXT MONTH!! Holy mess!! I am going to be a wife NEXT MONTH!! That just sounds crazy, but I'm so excited!

Today, New Year's Day, I thought would be a relaxing day, but Ben had other plans. We headed over to the house for a little while and cleaned up the demolition mess from Friday so we can be ready for tomorrow. I have the day off so I'm going to help Ben tear some walls down! This should be interesting!!

We wish everyone a wonderful New Year! Ben and I are so excited to see what this year has in store for us! We know one thing for sure....we are getting married and moving into our new home in 2012!!
