We have PLUMBING!! (& Bling!!)

Ben left for National Guard on Thursday and will be back tomorrow, so I've been missing my daily play-by-play of the renovations. Prior to Ben leaving on Thursday, he was able to work with the contractors to make sure we got the plumbing installed completely with the two new bathrooms and the electrical work that needs to be done throughout the house updated while he was gone. Now, I'm not sure if either are done correctly, BUT, I stopped in on Saturday and saw there were new pipes in the areas where our bath/shower/faucets should be.

Our guest bath now has a tub!! Our master bath is going to have a large shower and a double vanity.

During my little adventure to our new house by myself, I was a little scared! It's a cold empty house and I was trying to be brave. Can't wait to get in there and cozy it up and make it our home!!

Prior to Ben leaving on Thursday, we went to get our wedding bands. My wedding band outline was created at the same time as my engagement ring so we were just going to pay for it as well as make sure we had the right size. Long story short, apparently Ben had already paid for the wedding band when he got the engagement ring. That we definitely a GREAT surprise! Ben picked out his band, so I was the only one paying for jewelry on Thursday ;)

The weekend has been filled for me with a surprise birthday party for a friend and then I got to celebrate my FABULOUS friend Anna at her lingerie/bachlorette dinner on Saturday night.

My Saturday and Sunday were filled with checking things off the final wedding "to do" list. The main thing was JEWELRY!! For those that know me, you know I LOVE fun jewelry. You give me fun earrings or a ring and I'm a happy girl! With that being said, I wanted to find the perfect earrings for my bridesmaids and for myself. Trying to find the combination of sassy & classy was definitely harder than I thought. Let's just say after 6 hours and one return, I found the PERFECT earrings!!

6 weeks away and Ben will be my husband!! YIPPEE!!

  1. "Sassy & classy" I love that saying. Your new house is making some serious progression! Can't wait to see the finished product.
